It is the policy of Capital Gas to constantly maintain the highest possible standards of safety and environmental protection and to ensure all the vessels under their management are operated efficiently and in accordance with relevant International/National Rules and Regulations and Shipping Industry Guidelines and standards.
In order to maintain this policy, the Company follows a Safety Management System meeting the requirements of the International Management Code for the Safe Operation of Ships and Pollution Prevention (ISM Code).
Capital Gas’ management system also complies with the Quality Assurance Standard ISO 9001, the Environmental Management Standard ISO 14001, the Occupational Health & Safety Management System ("OHSAS") 45001 and the Energy Management System ISO 50001. The compliance of Capital Gas Ship Management Corp. with all of the above standards is certified by Lloyds Register of Shipping.
Capital Gas is implementing a strict code of ethics for its employees ashore and onboard the vessels.
The Company's classification societies of choice are American Bureau of Shipping, Bureau Veritas, NKK, DNV GL and Lloyd's Register with whom it enjoys excellent and long-standing relations.
Capital Gas is a member of industry associations such as BIMCO, INTERTANKO, HELMEPA, SIGGTO, SGMF.
Capital Gas receives annually Amver Awards from the U.S. Coast Guard for its managed vessels "in recognition of outstanding dedication to the Automated Mutual-assistance Vessel Rescue System in support of world maritime safety".
Capital Gas was honored with the prestigious “World LNG Shipping Award” 2023 during the 23rd LNG Summit & Awards.
